Woman and two children found dead in house

LONDON, Mar 2 (Reuters) A woman and two young children have been found dead at a house in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, police said today.

Their bodies were discovered after an ambulance was called to the home shortly after 1700 hrs yesterday.

A cordon has been thrown around the house while forensic officers conduct a detailed investigation.

The woman was believed to be in her 40s and the children, both boys, were under five.

A post mortem will be conducted later to discover the causes of death.

The children's father is understood to have called the ambulance, a police source said.

At present police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the deaths, the source added.
