Sidhi, MP, Mar 2 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MP Kailash Joshi today said the Bharatiya Jan Shakti Founder-President and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti should return to the saffron partyfold.

''She is unable to achieve anything by remaining outside the BJP,'' he told mediapersons in response to a query.

Mr Joshi, who was here to drum up support for the BJP in the run-up to the March 8 parliamentary bypoll, claimed that ''corruption in the higher echelons'' had been almost stamped out.

''The government plans to encourage public participation in controlling corruption,'' he added.

Claiming that the Ram temple issue was not forgotten, Mr Joshi said that the BJP would not hesitate to draft legislation on the subject if it secured absolute majority in Parliament.

''We always speak of Hindutva but that does not imply that people hailing from other communities will be driven out of the country.

Hindutva is a live tradition, not a community or caste,'' he added.

Regarding a proposal to carve this district's Singrauli into a separate district, Mr Joshi pointed out that only Chief Minsiter Shivraj Singh Chouhan was authorised to comment on that matter.
