TRS members stage dharna, gets assurance from CM

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislators today staged a dharna in front of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's chamber, demanding representation to the Telangana Region in the recently-appointed Additional Public Prosecutors (APPs) in the state.

All the legislators gathered at the Chief Minister's chamber soon after the state assembly was adjourned for the day on the subject and raised slogans against the government, alleging negligence of the Telangana Region in all the matters.

Later, they also held discussions with the Chief Minister.

TRS Floor Leader K Vijayarama Rao said the Chief Minister assured them to look into the matter.

The Chief Minister had discussed the matter with the Chief Secretary and Law Secretary and directed them to stop the apppointments till further orders, Mr Rao said, adding TRS members were happy with the Chief Minister's assurance.
