Tension prevails at Kundgol town

Hubli, Mar 2 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time at Kundgol town in Dharwad district of Karnataka after two groups belonging to different communities clashed over a petty matter, last night.

The timely arrival of police on the scene averted possible violence. The trouble started during a procession of 'Darga Urs' when some people beat up a person. In retaliation, the person's relatives attacked the procession. But, the situation was brought under control immediately by the police.
