TDP holds rail roko
Rajahmundry, Mar 2 (UNI) More than 200 Telugu Desam Party activists, including women and youth, led by Former Minister G Butchaiah Chowdary held a rail roko today at Godavari Station detaining Howrah- Yaswanthpur Express and Rajahmundry-Bhimavaram Passenger Train for 15 minutes in protest against the 'injustice' meted out to the state in the Railway Budget as also the 'anti-people' Union Budget.
Addressing the protestors, the TDP leader said the state was suffering neglect for the third successive year in Railway developmental activities. Besides, the Union Budget had not done any thing for the poor in conrolling spiralling prices.
