HC asks Govt to inform on ADB procedures

Kochi, Mar 2 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the State Government to inform the procedures adopted for entering into the loan agreement with the ADB by March 14.

A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice K S Radhakrishnan and Justice M N Krishnan, gave the direction on a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) filed by Anti-ADB Campagin Committee, represented by C R Neelakantan.

The petitioner said, the agreement, entered into by the Government on December eight, 2006, was 'illegal' as it had no sanction from the Cabinet.

The agreement was executed without legislative deliberations and nobody was aware of the terms and conditions of the agreement, he added.
