German mkt regulator okays Suzlon REpower bid
New Delhi, Mar 2: Suzlon Energy Ltd today said its Euro 126 per share bid for acquiring Germany's REpower System AG has been approved by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
''Accordingly the shareholders of REpower Systems AG can tender their shares from today onwards till April 20,'' the company said.
The company, world's fifth largest wind turbine manufacturer is in race to acquire REpower, Germany's third-largest wind-power equipment maker along with Paris-based nuclear major Areva.
Suzlon Energy bought Belgium-based Hansen for 565 million dollars in March last year.
