Sonia has links with Quattrocchi: Rajnath

Sidhi, MP, Mar 1 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh today alleged that Bofors scam-accused Ottavio Quattrocchi had direct links with Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

''Quattrocchi is an Italian citizen and his family has ties with Ms Gandhi. The Congress is attempting to protect such an accused.

The BJP took the initiative of launching a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry. It is still not known where the money from Quattrocchi's London account vanished,'' he told mediapersons here today.

Mr Singh, who was here to drum up support for BJP nominee Kunwar Singh in the run-up to the Sidhi (ST) parliamentary bypoll, claimed that the public was disenchanted with the Congress. The BJP would win the Sidhi, Gwalior Lok Sabha seats and the Udaypura assembly constituency by a huge margin, he added.
