Holi celebrations under section 144 CrPC

Shillong, Mar 1(UNI) In view of the Holi celebration, Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills District Magistrate B Dhar today promulgated section 144 CrPC prohibiting throwing, spraying and playing of coloured chemicals /substances/powders in public places including thoroughfares.

The order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till March 5 next, Mr Dhar said.
