RLD, BSP leaders join SP
Lucknow, Feb 28 (UNI) Former Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) MP and two Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leaders today joined the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh.
The announcement was made by state PWD minister and SP general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav here.
Former RLD MP Chaudhary Chandrapal Singh, his daughter-in-law Renu, BSP leaders Neta Sahab Singh and Jagram Gufran and Khatauli zila panchayat member and RLD senior leader Sompal Singh Baliyan have joined SP.
''We had no option but to resign from RLD. Party supremo Ajit Singh is not serious about developing UP into a Harit Pradesh. He raises the issue only for vote bank politics,'' the RLD leaders alleged.
