RJD members stage walkout from Council

Patna, Feb 28 (UNI) RJD members today walked out from Bihar legislative council over the delay in withdrawal of unaided education policy by the state government.

While giving reply over the issue after a special debate, Bihar Human Resource Development minister Brishen Patel said the final decision on withdrawal of unaided education policy would be taken after receipt of the report of a committee constituted to suggest measures for implementation of common school system in the state.

Mr Patel said that a committee on common school system was constituted under the chairmanship of former foreign secretary Muchkund Dubey and its term would expire in May.

''The committee had been requested to submit its report by March,'' he added.

Those who participated in the debate included Mr Kedar Pandey of CPI, Mr Basudev Singh of CPM, Mr Nawal Kishore Singh Yadav, Mr Ghulam Gaus of RJD and Mr Delkeshwar Ram of BJP.
