Railways to run special trains

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 28 (UNI) The Southern Railways will run special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers in connection with ''Pongala festival '' at the ''Attukal Bhagawathy Temple'', here.

One Special train would run between Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram on March three, the day of the Pongala, a release said here.

The train would leave Kollam at 0400 Hrs and would reach Thiruvananthpuram Central at 0600 hrs.

Train No. 6350 Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Parusurama Express, Train No. 6345 Lokmanyathilak-Thiruvananthapuram Netravati express and Train no. 7230 Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari express would stop at Mayyanad, Paravur, Kappil, Varkala, Kadakkavur, Chirayinkil, Murukkumpuzha, Kazhakkuttam and Kochuveli stations on March two.

Train No. 6344 Palakkad Town-Thiruvananthapuram Amritha express would stop at Mayyanad, Paravur, Kappil, Varkala, Kadakkavur, Chirayinkil, Murukkumpuzha, Kazhakkuttam and Kochuveli Stations on March three.

Train No. 6342 Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam Intercity express, Train No. 6304 Thiruvananthapauram-Ernakulam Vanchinad express and Train No. 6329 Thiruvananthapuram Mangalore Malabar Express would stop at all the stations in between Thiruvananthapuram-Kollam on March three.

It said additional coaches would be provided in trains running between Thiruvananthapuram and Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram-Kollam passengers.

Additional coaches would also be provided in Train no. 6320 Thiruvananthapuram Mangalore Malabar Express, the release added.
