Iraq to hold high-level meeting of neighbors, G8

WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (Reuters) Iraq plans to convene a high-level meeting of its neighbors and the Group of Eight countries as early as in April to help stabilize the country, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said today.

The meeting, which would be held at the ministerial level, would follow lower-level discussions to be held in Baghdad in March, Rice said in excerpts of congressional testimony that were released by the State Department.
