Shimla, Feb 28 (UNI) All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW), on base 2001-100, for January this fiscal remained stationary at 127 points, Labour Bureau sources today said.

The index recorded an increase of four points in Sholapur Centre, three points in Rajkot centre, two points in 11 centres and one points in 24 centres, while it decreased by four points in Labac-Silcher centre.

The sources said it also decreased by three points in Giridih, Raniganj and Mongher-Jamalpur centres and one point each in 12 centres, while in the remaining 25 centres it remained stationary.

The increase of four points in Sholapur centre was due to the increase in the prices of wheat, jowar, grinding charges, groundnut oil, goat meat, dairy milk, onion, garlic, tea (Readymade) and electricity charges.

However, the decrease of four points in Labac-Silcher centre was due to decrease in the prices of rice, fresh fish, vegetables and fruit items, the sources said.

The CPI-IW at Bangalore stood at 133 followed by 131 at Mumbai, 126 at Ahmedabad, 125 at Kolkata, 124 at Delhi and 122 at Chennai, the sources added.
