Chennai, Feb 27 (UNI) Senior DMK Leader and Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Aroct N Veerasamy today ridiculed AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa for seeking the dismissal of the DMK Government alleging ''it had become a haven for extremists.'' Referring to AIADMK leader's remarks the DMK Government was dismissed in 1991 for supporting extremism and there were more reasons now to do it, Mr Veerasamy said this showed Ms Jayalalithaa's intention behind issuing statements.

In a statement here, he said in 1991, the DMK Government was dismissed on false charges and Ms Jayalalalithaa, who was expecting a repeat, should realise ''there are no people like Mr Chandrasekar (then Prime Minister) and Mr Venkataraman (then President) to fulfill her dreams.

Those who had lost the confidence of the people and failed in the elections would only seek to such recourse, he said and advised Ms Jayalalithaa to realise the people, who were impressed with the eight-month performance, would reelect the DMK and its allies in any number of elections.

Mr Veersamy also charged Ms Jayalalithaa with insulting the IAS and IPS officials when she was at the helm of affairs in the state and had no moral right to criticise the DMK Government in this regard.
