Manipur elections: Results out as counting begins

Imphal, Feb 27: Gaikhangam (Congress) has been declared elected from Nungba ac (54) defeating his nearest rival Gangmumei Kamei(ind) by a margin of 5,000 votes. Congress retains the seat.

Hellaluddin Khan of RJD has been declared elected from Lilong defeating his nearest rival Manipur Assembly Speaker Dr. Maniruddin Sheikh of Congress by 280 votes.

T H Navakumar of NCP declared elected from Khundrakpam defeating his nearest rival K Tomba of Congress by a margin of 500 votes. NCP wrests the seat from Congress.

Ngursanglur of RJD declared elected from Tipaimukh ac(55) defeating his nearest rival Dr Chaltonlien Amo of Congress by a margin of 300 votes. RJD wrests the seat from Congress.

Doukhomang Khongsai of NCP declared elected from Saikul ac(47)defeating his nearest rival Ch Doungel of Congress by a margin of 450 votes. NCP wrests the seat from Congress.

V Hangkhanlian President of the Nationalist People Party( NPP) declared elected from Thanlon AC (56) by defeating his nearest rival Zabiaksang of BJP by a margin of about 4800 votes.

D D Thaisii of Congres declared elected at Karong AC(47) defeating his nearest rival L Jonathan(Ind) by a margin of about 1300 votes.

M Thorii (Ind) declared elected at Mao AC (48) defeating his nearest rival Woba Joram(Ind) by a margin of about 5500 votes.

L Nandakumar of Congress declared elected from Uripok AC(10) defeating his nearest rival P Achou of MPP by a margin of 1546 votes, Congress retains the seat.

W Brajabidhu of the Congres declared elected from Lamsang AC(17) defeating his nearest rival Rajen of MPP by margin of about 1884 votes.

Manga Vaiphei of Congress Party declared elected from 57 Henglep(AC) defeating his rival T Thangzalam of LJSP by a margin of 1,500 votes. He retained the seat.

W Nipamacha, Former Chief Minister and President of RJD, declared elected from Wangoi AC(22) defeating his nearest rival S Joy of NCP by a margin of about 2000 votes.
