Ranchi, Feb 27 (UNI) Senior BJP MLA Saryu Rai today demanded the resignation of the Jharkhand Finance Minister Mrigendra Pratap Singh saying that the Budget prepared for the next fiscal was ''full of anomalies''.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Rai accused the state government of providing ''vague'' and ''misleading'' information to the Planning Commission (PC) to obtain the approval for the 11th five-year plan and state's annual plan for the next fiscal.

Recently, the PC had approved Rs 34477 crore and Rs 6676 crore for the state's annual Budget for the 11th five-year plan.

Mr Rai said the detailed report of state's resources and plan outlay was required before the approval but the state government had failed to submit any such information before the commission.

The PC's documents stated the national development rate at 8.5 per cent but the report did not have any information of Jharkhand's development rate, Mr Rai alleged.

The BJP legislator charged the document also failed to provide information about state's GDP (Gross Domestic Product), which was 4.72 per cent in 2000-01 followed by 5.86 per cent in 2004-05.

The document also lacked information on Incremental Cost Output Ratio (ICOR), which indicates a state's development, he said.
