NDA will not obstruct budget presentation : Advani

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Having disrupted the presentation of Railways Budget in the Lok Sabha, the NDA today assured it will not obstruct the presentation of the General Budget on February 28, and will patiently hear the proposals.

Leader of Opposition in Parliament L K Advani told reporters that the Opposition will allow Finance Minister P Chidambaram to read the budget in Parliament without any obstructions.

Mr Advani said even the Railways Budget presentation would not have countered problems if the government had heeded to the Opposition's demands to lay the papers on the table of the House.

He said the NDA leaders had met Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee with this proposal but the Government disagreed, Mr Advani said.

The NDA leaders, who met at Mr Advani's chambers this morning, decided not to block the presentation of General Budget.
