Cong hails Railway Budget

New Delhi,Feb 26 (UNI) The Congress today hailed the Railway Budget presented by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad as a good Budget oriented to the poor.

No hike had been made in the train fare nor in the freight rates.Rather the fare had been reduced somewhat, Congress Spokesperson Jayanti Natrajan said reacting to the Railway Budget in the routine press briefing.

About the detention of Bofors pay off accused Ottavio Quatrocchi, she said law would take its own course.

She described as unfortunate the attempt by the Opposition to prevent presentation of Railway Budget today.
