Raja Bhaiyya set free

Pratapgarh, Feb 25 (UNI) A local court here acquitted Uttar Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Minister and controversial Independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias 'Raja Bhaiyya', his father Udai Pratap Singh along with 17 of their supporters.

On May 31, 1997, a Madarsa principal Asratullah Naqvi had lodged an FIR against Raja Bhaiyya, his father and others, alleging he had been assaulted by them.

Hearing the case last evening, local court judge Naresh Kumar acquitted the accused for lack of evidence.
