Wife murdered

Balaghat(MP), Feb 24 (UNI) Fed up with abject poverty, a farmer murdered his wife and later committed suicide by hanging.

The incident occured at Ladsa village under Rampayali police station of this district on Wednesday, a delayed official report said.

Police said Chunnilal gagged to death his wife Khelanbai(47) at their farm and later committed suicide by hanging from a tree.

The couple had five children and one and a half acre land could not sustain the family, police said.
