Lovelorn youth sets himself ablaze

Hubli, Feb 24 (UNI) A lovelorn youth allegedly committed suicide by setting himself ablaze at Betageri town in Gadag district of Karnataka, last evening.

Police said Vinod Dhooli (24) took the extreme step when his sister's daughter was married off to his brother. Vinod wanted to marry her, but his parents arranged the marriage of the girl with his brother.

He was admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here, where he succumbed to burns.
