French delegate for food-processing,agribusiness visits India

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Underlining the importance attached to the Indian market by the French, Inter-ministerial Delegate for Food-Processing and Agribusiness Industry Nicholas Forissier will visit the country from tomorrow.

Mr Forissier's visit will focus on the French Government's initiative to support its companies, specially small and medium enterprises, on an international level.

He will be leading the delegation of a dozen French companies from agribusiness sector such as equipment supplies for the dairy industry, representatives of major co-operatives (Epis-centre, Invivo) and large companies (Carrefour, Bongrain) already present in India.

Mr Forissier will the Minister for Food Processing Subodh Kant Sahay and Minister for New and Renewable Energy Vilas Muttemwar on Monday. He will also meet Secretary of Agriculture and Co-operation P K Mishra.

The Food-Processing industry is one of the priority sectors to be promoted in business partnerships between India and France.
