Enmasse resignation by BJP MLAs ''possible'': Kalyan Singh

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) In an effort to keep the Mulayam Singh Yadav government on tenterhooks, the BJP today said the party could follow the suit of 67 BSP MLAs, who quit their Assembly seats ahead of the Samajwadi Party regime's floor test on February 26.

Asked about the developments in Lucknow, BJP Campaign Committee Chairman Kalyan Singh said, ''all options are open'' , not ruling out enmasse resignations by the party MLAs.

''A final decision is expected to come from the BJP Legislature Party,'' sources said.

Mr Singh, who gave an assessment of the situation in the state at the BJP office bearers meeting, said the situation was ''favourable'' for the BJP and the party could expect ''good results''.

Meanwhile, the state in charges also presented their reports on the just-concluded Assembly elections in three states.

BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley, who is in charge of Punjab, said the party could expect an ''absolute majority'' for the Akali-BJP combine, while BJP Spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad, in charge of Uttarakhand, said the party would get a ''comfortable majority'' in the state.

BJP Parliamentary Party Spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra, while giving his report on the Delhi Municipal Corproation elections, said the situation was ''conducive'' for the party.
