Chautala raps Cong over Sirsa rally

Chandigarh, Feb 24 (UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo and former Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala today urged Congress president Sonia Gandhi to announce commencement of construction work on the SYL canal in tomorrow's Sirsa rally.

Talking to reporters here, he said if such an announcement was not made in the 'Navyug Rally' being organised to mark completion of two years of the Hooda government, it would be considered as 'Kalyug Rally' by the people of Haryana.

Alleging failure of the Hooda government on all fronts, Mr Chautala said the government had not fulfilled even a single election promise.

He also criticised the rally organisers for invoking the name of Mahatma Gandhi for inviting people to the rally and misusing the government machinery for the purpose.
