6 SP activists booked for assaulting cop
Mahoba, Feb 24 (UNI) Six ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) activists have been booked for assaulting a police officer during the recent visit of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav here.
Sub-inspector R D Verma, deployed at Bahilpur police station in Chitrakoot district, had alleged assault by the SP activists on February 18, when he tried to stop them from entering the city in an unauthorised manner.
Police Superintendent Gyan Singh today said arrest orders against the accused had been issued.
