Take immediate steps to curb prise rise: CPM

Puducherry, Feb 23 (UNI) Alleging that the wrong policies of the Union Government led to the sky rocketing of prices of essential commodities, the Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India Marxist today urged for immediate steps to curb the price rise.

CPM Secretary V Perumal, in a statement said the poor people were severly affected by the price rise. The party would picket the Central and state government offices in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the Union Territory on February 26.
