RJD demands special debate on corruption during budget session

Dumka, Feb 23 (UNI) Expressing concern over alleged corruption in Jharkhand, the RJD, extending outside support to the Madhu Koda-led UPA government in the state, today demanded a special debate on the issue during the budget session beginning March 2.

Talking to reporters here, party's state president Gautam Sagar Rana said the Jharkhand government had failed to check corruption during its five months tenure and the matter should be brought up in the House.

Mr Rana said develomental projects were being adversely effected due to rampant corruption.

Meanwhile, a team of RJD leaders, including Mr Rana, also met jailed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Leader Sibu Soren and asked for his support in the bypoll to Palamu parliamentry seat, dates for which are yet to be announced.
