Relay fast enters day 70

Machilipatnam, Feb 23 (UNI) The relay fast of the Machilipatnam Port Sadhana Samiti demanding to drop the proposed move of shifting the Machilipatnam Port, entered the 70th day today.

Talking to UNI, one of the Samithi leaders T Ramamohana Rao alleged that the MAYTAS Company, which bagged the tender was trying to shift the port to Goguleru from here.

The people had been resorting to relay fast and road blokade to prevent the move, he added.
