Patients obstruct road in front to GH

Puducherry, Feb 23 (UNI) Patients accompanied by attendents, who came to the government general hospital here today, resorted to a road blockade in front of the hospital in protest against the inordinante delay in attending a patient.

They alleged that a heart patient who was brought to the hospital for treatment, was asked to take an X-ray. Though, he waited for over one hour in front of the X-ray department, there was no staff to man the department, following which patients and their relatives became restive and resroted to road blockade.

After the police held talks with them, the stir was called off.
