Lucknow, Feb 23 (UNI) Blaming Congress for still conspiring to impose President's rule in Uttar Pradesh, the Mulayam Singh Yadav government today asserted it would prove majority on floor of the house on February 26, as announced earlier.

''We will befittingly reply to all our detractors by proving the majority,'' senior ruling Samajwadi Party leader and UP agriculture minister Ashok Bajpai told newspersons here.

''There is a sustained effort on part of the opposition parties, mainly Congress to dub the UP government as 'unconstitutional' in wake of the Supreme Court judgement disqualifying 13 members from the house.'' Mr Bajpai said the immediate endeavour of the government was to prove majority on February 26. On February 25, SP chief Mr Yadav would address a meeting of all the party MLAs and those who were supporting the government.
