Fruit seller shot dead

Patna, Feb 23(UNI) One person was shot dead by unidentified miscreants near Bhaluhipur More in Bhojpur district today.

Police here today said the criminals opened fire on fruit seller Nabibullah when he was on his way to his residence from Ara railway station. The victim died on the spot.

''Motive behind the killing is being investigated,'' police said.

Meanwhile, CPI(ML) workers took out a procession in Ara town to protest the incident while local businessmen pulled down the shutters of their shops to vent anger over failure of the district administration in protecting the lives and properties of the trading community.
