Former TOI editor-in-chief Sham Lal passes away
New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Distinguished journalist and former editor-in-chief of Times of India Sham Lal died at his Gulmohar Park residence here this morning.
He was 94. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
One of his daughters Neena Vyas is a journalist, working with the Hindu.
The funeral will take place at Lodhi Road electric crematorium at 1430 hrs.
Mr Sham Lal who joined Times of India in 1956 continued to write a column in the paper even after his retirement. For the last few years he had been writing a column for the Telegraph.
