Congress assures cooperation to Speaker

Kolkata, Feb 23 (UNI) West Bengal Congress unit today assured Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim of all cooperation in the coming Assembly session.

'' We have assured Mr Halim that we will cooperate with him in every field but the opposition's version should be raised rightfully,''CLP leader of the Assembly Manas Bhuiyan said.

He said the government should pay due respect to all the oppostion parties.

He alleged that the ruling Left Front had failed on every front including 'non implementation of the centre's 100-days guaranteed jobs.' The PCC would raise these issues in the coming budget session, Mr Bhuiyan added.

'' We want industry but not at the cost of farmlands,'' he added.

The meeting assumed added significance specially after the Trinamool Congress-sponsored vandalism in the House in November.
