Andhra Pradesh: House adjourned for the day

Hyderabad, Feb 23: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for the day today, with the Opposition parties stalling the House proceedings protesting against G O 938, which endorses a check on the defamatory and baseless media reports.

When the House proceedings resumed after a 15-minute adjournment, which even exceeded 45 minutes, pandemonium continued.

The Opposition was not relenting to Speaker K R Suresh Reddy's request for allowing the House proceedings to continue.

The Speaker announced that all the listed questions for the day were deemed to have been answered and requested the Opposition to allow the postponed questions to be answered.

However, with the Opposition continuing to stall the proceedings the Speaker adjourned the House for the day.
