Amarinder to throw tea party on poll result eve
Patiala, Feb 23 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will host a tea party for the Congress leaders, workers and prominent local citizens at his New Moti Bagh residence on February 26, a day before the state assembly poll results are announced.
The palace sources said that the tea party has been organised to thank people of Patiala for their cooperation during last five years as well as express gratitude to those who have worked hard during the recent elections.
The CM's supporters claimed that it was an advance thanksgiving as Capt Singh was confident of poll ''victory'' and heading another government in the state.
On the contrary, his detractors were describing it as a ''farewell party'' from the CM saying Capt Singh had already ''smelt'' his party's defeat in the polls.
