UN's Ban says concerned about Iran

VIENNA, Feb 22 (Reuters) United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said today he was deeply concerned that Iran had not met a UN Security Council deadline to stop nuclear enrichment.

''I'm deeply concerned that the Iranian government did not meet the deadline set by the Security Council,'' Ban told reporters in Vienna.

''I urge the Iranian government. It should fully comply with the demands and engage in negotiations with the international community so that we can resolve this issue peacefully,'' he added.
