PWD engineer found murdered

Varanasi, Feb 22 (UNI) A junior engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) was found murdered in the Cholapur area here early today.

Police said here the body of Kaushalanand Pandey, a PWD junior engineer was recovered from the Pisaur Pulia under Cholapur police station.

The body bore deep wounds, which suggested the engineer was murdered, police added.

A native of Siddharthnagar district of East Uttar Pradesh, Pandey was transferred to Varanasi in April last and since then was staying in a rented house here.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and further investigations were on.
