Militants kill jawan, two CRPF drowned

Imphal, Feb 22 (UNI) A jawan of 18 Assam Rifles was believed to be killed by suspected militants at Manipur's Chandel district today, police said.

Army officials were tightlipped about the matter and PIB (Defence Wing) said a detailed report of the incident had not been received yet.

Meanwhile, police said two CRPF jawans, who were on poll duty, drowned in Barak river at Jiribam near here yesterday.
