Congress suspends Sanjay Patil

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Prabha Rau has suspended Sanjay Patil of Tasgaon District, Sangli, for anti-party activities.

A release issued here by the party said there were several complaints about Mr Patil's anti-party activities which he did not stop despite being given the warnings.

Sources said Patil had contested against deputy chief minister R R Patil in 2004 assembly elections as an independent candidate in Tasgaon. Later he joined Congress.
