Sena-BJP's stand on power vindicated: Jawadekar
Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) BJP spokesman Prakash Jawadekar today said Maharashtra, a power surplus state in September 1999, had a shortfall of 5,500 mw in 2007.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Jawadekar said Shiv Sena-BJP had made projections about the power scenario for 2007. but the then Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and bureaucrat Madhav Godbole, in an affidavit, claimed the projection was wrong.
Mr Jawadekar demanded that both apologise to the people of Mahaharashtra for their wrong projection of power demand, which has resulted in load shedding in the state.
