Quake strikes Indonesia's Moluccas again

JAKARTA, Feb 21 (Reuters) An earthquake struck off the Moluccas islands in the eastern part of Indonesia today, the country's meteorology agency said, although there was no immediate report of a tsunami warning or casualties.

Indonesia's Meteorology and Geophysics Agency put the quake at 6.0 on the Richter scale and said the epicentre was 34 km from Labuha town in North Moluku province.

The US Geological Survey said on its Web site that the quake's magnitude was 5.5 and occurred at 0749 hrs with the epicentre 10 km under the sea.

A stronger earthquake struck the area yesterday, triggering a brief tsunami alert.
