Prisoner escapes from Nadiad court compound

Nadiad, Feb 21 (UNI) A prisoner escaped from a Nadiad court compound today during the recess.

Ten prisoners were brought from Bilodara jail, 3 km from here, this morning. During the recess one of the prisoners, Dasrath Solanki, held on charges of rape, said he wanted to go to the nearby tap to drink water.

Later, when a headcount was done only nine men were present and the case of missing inmate came to light.

Anand and Kheda district police have been alerted to nab the culprint.
