CPI (M) delegation meets Deputy CM
Ranchi, Feb 21 (UNI) A CPI(M) delegation today urged Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto to take action against two illegally appointed contractors in NREGA work.
The party members requested Mr Mahto to look into the matter after their functionaries were taken ill following an indefinite hunger strike at Mehendra block office premises since February 19.
They were rushed to the nearby hospital, sources from CPI(M) said.
They went on agitation demanding immediate arrest of the two appointed contractors in NREGA work at Tularam Bhushka village under Meherma Block.
The party release issued here alleged that the duo had killed a rural worker called Satyanarayan Yadav when he demanded his wages.
