Arrest sought for involvement in suicide

Vijayawada, Feb 21 (UNI) Demanding the arrest of one person allegedly involved in the suicide of his former accomplice, the family members and villagers of the victim resorted to a dharna, carrying the mortal remains, in front of Penumuluru Police Station in Krishna district.

According to police Venkateswara Rao and Nagul Meera were friends and used to commit thefts. They parted ways after a dispute and Rao used to threaten he would bring Meera to book.

Unable to bear it, Meera consumed posion. His brother alerted police and they shifted Meera to hospital. However, he succumbed.

The agitated family members and others alleged Rao was responsible for the suicide and disrupted traffic demanding his arrest.
