SGPC chief hospitalised

Ludhiana, Feb 20 (UNI) Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar was hospitalised due to severe backache here today.

Mr Makkar, suffering a disc problem, was admitted to the Dayanand Medical college (DMC) and hospital.

Doctors attending on the SGPC chief said a surgical operation could not be ruled out if he did not respond to normal medication.
