'Cong to return in Uttarakhand'

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) All India Federation of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes claimed today that the Uttarakhand people would vote Congress back to government in the state.

A press release, issued by president of the organisation VN Kaushik here, mentioned that whirlwind tours by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and state Chief Minister ND Tiwari helped popular opinion swell in favour of the party.

The release read further that huge gathering at Sonia Gandhi's rally was a sign of growing confidence in the party and the leadership. Mr Kaushik also claimed that the Congress-led governance in Uttarakhand has made significantly better the lives of the neglected in particular.

The state ushered into an era of development, the release added issuing a fervent appeal to the electorate to vote the party back to governance.
