HC orders CBI probe in Abhishek Mishra case

Ranchi, Feb 20: The Jharkhand High Court today ordered CBI inquiry into the death of Abhihek Mishra, whose body was found at Dassam Falls a day after he along with his friends, including Railway Minister Lalu Yadav's daughter, went for picnic there last year.
A division bench comprising Justice Muthuswamy Karpagyavinaygam and Justice Permod Kohli asked the state government to stop investigation and hand over the case to the CBI.

Initially the state police termed the case as ''accident'', but Abhishek's father Dr S Mishra, working with Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi, wrote a letter to the High Court in this regard.
