Separatist org condem blast in Samjhauta Express

Srinagar, Feb 19: Separatist organisations in Kashmir have strongly condemned the terror attack on the Attari-bound Samjhauta Express that claimed almost 70 lives, most of them Pakistanis.

Chairman of the breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani said it was an attack on ''entire humanity'' while Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chief Shabir Ahmad Shah and Liberation Front (Nanaji) covenor Javid Ahmad Mir termed it an ''attempt to derail the peace process.'' ''We strongly condemn the terror attack on the Samjhauta Express in which innocent lives were lost,'' Mr Geelani said, adding that this not act was against the teachings of Islam and an attack on entire humanity.

Mr Geelani said they have been demanding in the past also, that all terror attacks should be investigated by any International agency to bring out the truth.

We do not believe in the investigation by any Indian agencies as they always try to implicate innocent persons, particuarly Kashmiris which was evident from the arrest of Kashmiri youths in Indian states in false cases, he claimed citing the case of Afzal Guroo, who is facing death sentence in Parliament attack case, as being innocent but was ''falsely implicated.'' Mr Shabir Shah said the blast in the train was ''very unfortunate.'' ''Though conflicting reports are coming about the incident, but it was still not clear how the terrorists managed to take the explosive and other material inside the train when the doors are being closed at Delhi station and reopen only at Attari, Mr Shah added.
