School principal suspended for financial irregularities

Anand, Gujarat, Feb 19 (UNI) The principal of a school in Nadiad town has been suspended over alleged financial irregularities.

The Kheda District Education Authority here today suspended Kanyalal M Thakkar, principal of Sardar Patel Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, for his alleged involvement in financial irregularities.

According to District Education Officer (DEO), Mr Pargi, the principal was suspended as the State Education Department found ''some truth'' in the complaint lodged against him by the school's trustee board.

The trustees had also alleged that Mr Thakkar was harassing the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.
